Overview
This Privacy Policy explains what information Facetino collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It reflects how the Service actually works today and will be updated as features change.
Information you provide
- Account information: your name, email, username and password (stored only as a secure hash).
- Profile information: optional details such as your photo, cover, bio, gender, date of birth, location, language and timezone.
- Content you create: posts, comments, stories, Pages, Marketplace listings and media you upload.
- Messages: the content of messages you send through Messenger.
- Support requests and reports: information you include when you contact support or report content.
- Verification information: if you apply for verification, the identity document you upload.
Information collected automatically
- Technical and security data such as your IP address, device/browser information, and session activity used to keep your account secure and the Service working.
- Basic usage and activity records used to operate features like your activity log.
Messages are stored on our servers
Messenger messages are stored in our normal application storage so they can be delivered and displayed. Facetino does not currently provide end-to-end encryption, which means messages are not technically unreadable by the Service. Do not share highly sensitive information you would not want stored.
Payments
Wallet transactions are recorded so your balance and history are accurate. Payment processing is designed to work with configured third-party payment providers. Facetino does not store full payment card numbers. We never expose payment provider credentials.
Verification information
If you apply for a verified badge, your uploaded identity document is stored privately and is used only for review. It is never shown publicly, in search, or in profile data. The only public result of verification is the verified badge itself.
How information is used
We use information to provide and secure the Service, operate the features you use, enforce our policies, respond to support and reports, and improve reliability. We honour the audience settings you choose for your content.
Cookies and local storage
Facetino uses a single essential session cookie to keep you signed in securely, and your browser's local storage to remember interface preferences such as your theme. Facetino does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. See the Cookie Policy for details.
Your choices and controls
- You can edit your profile and change the audience of your posts at any time.
- You can review where you are signed in and sign out other sessions from Settings.
- You can block accounts you don't want to interact with.
- You can deactivate your account from Settings (a reversible action). A dedicated permanent-deletion and data-download process is not yet available; until it is, contact support for account requests.
